SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to an injury crash Sunday evening on the West Seattle Bridge that was soon followed by two other reported crashes in the area, according to West Seattle Blog.
Seattle Police and Seattle Fire Department crews were initially dispatched to the scene on the westbound side of the bridge shortly before 6:06 p.m.
Details remain limited, but one person was reported injured in a collision involving two vehicles.
The two right lanes were shut down for the emergency response, creating long delays for westbound commuters, who were also facing rainy weather conditions at the time.
By 6:16 p.m., a second crash was reported, leaving one of the center lanes blocked. No specific details were immediately released, though no injuries were reported.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., only the outer westbound lane remained blocked, but at 7:31 p.m., just as a tow truck had finished clearing the last vehicle from the original wreck, an officer reported a third crash on the westbound lanes.
