News: At least 1 injured in hit-and-run crash on Broadway near downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Monday afternoon after a hit-and-run collision in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood near downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident occurred at the intersection with East Jefferson Street, south of Seattle University. The SPD’s East Precinct dispatchers first received the call at 2:55 p.m.

At this time, authorities have not disclosed the circumstances behind the crash, but the event was listed as a “motor vehicle crash” that resulted in injuries to at least one person.

The driver of one involved vehicle fled the scene.

As of this writing, the exact number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries have not been confirmed.
