News: At least 1 hurt in pickup truck, tanker truck crash near Tacoma Dome 

TACOMA, WA – At least one person was injured in a crash between a pickup truck and a tanker truck that occurred on I-5 near the Tacoma Dome on Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes and resulted in the pickup truck getting pinned underneath the tanker truck, according to Kiro7. 

The Washington Department of Transportation said the tanker truck was empty at the time of the collision. Regardless, crews did what they could to “prevent the spill of any potential remnants the tanker was carrying,” according to the source. 

All three lanes were blocked, and all lanes reopened around 9:00 a.m.
