News: At least 1 hurt in hit-and-run crash near Seattle’s Washington Park

SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon after a hit-and-run collision on East Madison Street in Seattle’s Washington Park area, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident occurred at the intersection with Lake Washington Boulevard East. Dispatchers with the department’s East Precinct first received the call shortly after 3:00 p.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but authorities indicated at least one person was hurt after a crash involving a motor vehicle. The event was listed as a “hit-and-run” in which at least one involved party fled the scene.

No information on the fleeing driver or the victim’s condition has been disclosed.
