News: Arrest made after injury hit-and-run boat collision in Boston Harbor 

BOSTON HARBOR, WA – Thurston County deputies arrested one person in connection with a hit-and-run boat collision that seriously injured one person on Sunday.

The incident took place near 73rd Avenue Northeast and Boston Harbor Road Northeast, north of Olympia, according to King5. The hit-and-run suspect, who was operating a large boat, ran over a smaller boat. The person on that smaller boat was ejected and seriously injured as a result.

The hit-and-run suspect fled the scene but returned a short time later.

A TCSO detective said they arrested the hit-and-run suspect for assault after reviewing video footage and conducting their interviews.

First responders said they were able to rescue the ejected person, who was able to tread water despite their serious injuries. They said the person may have been permanently disfigured and likely would not have survived if it were not for their help.
