SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Authorities responded to a crash Tuesday morning that led to a six-mile traffic backup on Interstate 5 in south Marysville, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the southbound lanes just past the State Route 529 interchange. It was first reported by WSDOT at 6:15 a.m.
While no travel lanes were closed, the scene on the left southbound shoulder created a visual distraction, leading to long delays.
Footage captured at the scene suggest multiple vehicles were involved.
UPDATE- While no lanes are blocked, we already have a 6-mile backup behind this collision on southbound I-5 just south of the SR 529 interchange in #Marysville. Collision is in the left shoulder.

By 7:46 a.m., more than an hour and a half later, officials indicated the scene had been cleared, with traffic expected to flow.
At this time, no information regarding the cause of the wreck or potential injuries has been shared.
