News: Accident closes section of Eastlake Ave E in Eastlake area

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision that blocked part of northbound Eastlake Avenue East in Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).

The crash was reported at the intersection with East Shelby Street, just east of Fairview Park. It was first reported by SDOT at 6:25 p.m.

While the circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed, all northbound lanes of Eastlake Avenue East were closed in the immediate aftermath.

By 7:13 p.m., nearly 50 minutes after the initial SDOT report, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were announced reopened to the public.
