News: Accident closes part of northbound 4th Ave S in Industrial District

SEATTLE, WA — A section of northbound 4th Avenue South in Seattle’s Industrial District was closed early Monday evening due to a collision, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident impacted a stretch of the road at Diagonal Avenue South and was first reported by SDOT at 5:23 p.m.

Local agencies have not released information indicating the cause or nature of the wreck, but all northbound lanes of 4th Avenue South were blocked in the immediate aftermath.

By 5:42 p.m., only one northbound lane had been reopened.

Motorists were asked to take extra caution as crews responded to the scene.

No major injuries have been confirmed at this time.
