News: Accident closes part of eastbound Yesler Way in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision Monday afternoon near Smith Tower in downtown Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred on the eastbound lanes of Yesler Avenue at the intersection with 2nd Avenue South. It was first reported by SDOT at 3:44 p.m.

Little information has been released, but the accident blocked a section of eastbound Yesler Avenue for more than 35 minutes.

At 4:22 p.m., officials indicated the scene had been cleared with all lanes restored to normal traffic.

First responders have not confirmed any injuries in the event.
