SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision last Saturday night, December 16, in Seattle’s University District, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The crash happened at the intersection of Northeast 50th Street and Brooklyn Avenue Northeast. It was first recorded by SDOT at 9:20 p.m.
While very few details have been released, motorists were instructed to avoid the scene as the area was shut down in the immediate aftermath.
By 9:26 p.m. officials announced that all eastbound lanes of Northeast 50th Street were closed, as well as the right westbound lane.

The eastbound closure remained in place until it was lifted at 9:37 p.m., 17 minutes after the initial report, but the right westbound lane continued to be blocked.
