News: Accident closes multiple lanes on I-90 EB near Seattle’s Mt. Baker Tunnel

SEATTLE, WA — A collision Thursday night blocked three left lanes on Interstate 90 in Seattle’s Judkins Park neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on the eastbound lanes east of Rainer Avenue South and the Mount Baker Tunnel. It was first reported by WSDOT officials at 6:08 p.m.

Few details have been disclosed at this time but at the time of the report, Seattle Fire crews had responded. Footage captured at the scene show at least one fire truck over the roadway’s three left lanes. Motorists were warned of delays in the area.

By 7:33 p.m., more than an hour later, crews had cleared the accident and all eastbound lanes were restored to traffic.

Authorities have not confirmed any injuries as of this writing.
