News: Accident closes lane on S Dearborn St for hours in North Beacon Hill

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a collision early Wednesday on South Dearborn Street in Seattle’s North Beacon Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The crash happened at the intersection with 10th Avenue South, near the entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 5. It was first reported by SDOT at 12:18 a.m.

Little information has been made available, but the left westbound lane of South Dearborn Street was closed for more than 3 hours after the initial report, suggesting a major accident and a more involved response.

By 3:47 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the roadway, restoring all lanes to traffic.

The cause of the wreck has not been disclosed at this time, and no serious injuries have been confirmed.
