News: Accident closes lane on I-405 near UW Bothell

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A vehicle collision Tuesday morning blocked a left lane on Interstate 405 near the University of Washington Bothell in central Bothell, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

On I-405 southbound just south of SR 522 there is a collision blocking the left lane.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes of the interstate just south of State Route 522 at milepost 23. It was first reported by WSDOT at 6:30 a.m.

Footage captured at the scene shows at least one police cruiser responding to the event as traffic passes on the right and far left lanes. At least three vehicles appear to have been involved.

By 6:54 a.m., the scene had been cleared to the shoulder.

Authorities have not released information on the parties involved.
