News: Accident blocks two SB lanes of E Marginal Way in Georgetown

SEATTLE, WA — Crews responded to a crash Friday morning on East Marginal Way in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

Authorities said the wreck occurred on the southbound side of the road, north of 1st Avenue South. It was first reported by SDOT at 8:43 a.m.

The circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed, but the two left southbound lanes of East Marginal Way remained closed for over an hour.

A photo taken at the scene shows at least one fire engine responding, and more than one vehicle appears to have been involved.

At 9:53 a.m., the scene was announced cleared, with all travel lanes restored to traffic.

Local agencies have not reported any major injuries linked to the event.
