News: 70-year-old Seattle woman killed in Royal City crash

ROYAL CITY, WA – A woman died and a man was rushed to the hospital following a head-on collision in Grant County Wednesday night.

According to Yaktri News, the accident took place at about 8:19 along SR-26, about three miles from Royal City.

Troopers with the Washington State Patrol believe the 70-year-old woman attempted to pass a semi-truck when she collided head-on with a vehicle in the oncoming lane.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old man in the other vehicle was flown to Central Washington Hospital in serious condition. He has since been transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
