News: 4 injured following 2-vehicel crash on WA 900 near Coalfield

COALFIELD, WA – According to Trooper Rick Johnson, four people were hurt in a two-vehicle head-on collision on WA 900 near SE May Valley Rd on Wednesday.

A pickup truck driver strayed over the center line and hit another pickup truck head-on around 11:46 a.m.

Authorities believe the driver who caused the accident may be impaired.

Rescue crews transported a passenger from the truck that was hit to an area hospital in critical condition.

Only the driver of the truck that was hit was wearing a seatbelt. They are the least injured of the four people involved in the incident.

Crews had the road reopened around 3:33 p.m.
