SEATTLE, WA — A man in his 50s was hospitalized Saturday morning after a rollover crash involving a Metro bus that hurt two others on the West Seattle Bridge, according to West Seattle Blog.
The accident happened on the westbound lanes west of State Highway 99 at around 8:50 a.m.
According to a Metro spokesperson, a Route 50 bus was heading westbound on the bridge from First Avenue South when its driver corrected to avoid hitting a vehicle. Moments later, the bus struck the right barrier of the bridge.
Seattle Fire Department crews confirmed the bus driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries to his hand and leg. He was listed in stable condition.
None of the bus’ four passengers were initially reported hurt, but two passengers later sought medical evaluation for what appeared to be minor injuries.
All westbound lanes and the westbound onramp from SR-99 southbound was blocked during the response. By 10:50 a.m., the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
