News: 3 hospitalized following Mercer Island crash

MERCER ISLAND, WA – Three people were hospitalized and another three fled the scene following a multi-vehicle crash on I-90 Monday morning.

According to the Mercer Island Reporter, the accident took place at about 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-9- near the on-ramp from West Mercer Way.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, three occupants in the one vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries as three occupants in the second vehicle fled the scene of the crash on foot.

Troopers were able to locate those who fled and they were taken into custody. The identities of all parties involved have not yet been released.
