News: 3 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash involving Route 5 bus in Seattle 

SEATTLE, WA – Three people were sent to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash involving a Route 5 bus in Seattle on Monday, KOMO News reports. 

The bus was driving north on Greenwood Avenue when it reportedly suffered a medical episode and lost control of the bus. A passenger saw what unfolded and quickly went to the bus driver’s aid. The passenger pressed the brakes on the bus and steered it off the street. The bus ended up crashing into seven people before coming to rest. 

The bus driver, passenger, and A Parks and Recreation truck and trailer driver were all sent to area hospitals out of precaution. EMS crews took the truck driver to  Northwest Hospital, the bus driver to Swedish Cherry Hill, and the passenger to Harborview Medical Center. 

The physical conditions of the three people were not disclosed, although first responders did say the bus passenger was complaining of arm pain.
