KING COUNTY, WA — A major rollover crash Monday morning in northwest Tukwila has claimed three lives and left one person seriously injured, according to KOMO News.
Tukwila Police responded to the scene in the 12800 bock of Military Road South, near Hilltop Park, at about 7:15 a.m.
While it remains unclear what caused the wreck, a preliminary investigation indicates that it may have occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night. Photos captured in the area show the vehicle, which had crashed through part of a fence, rolled onto its side.
Authorities said officers arrived to find two people deceased outside of the vehicle after having been ejected. A third person was also found without signs of life inside the wreckage.
A fourth person who was extricated by members of the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority was rushed to a Seattle hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Motorists were warned of extended closure road closures in the area as officials worked to process the scene.
An investigation remains in progress.
