PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Two people were injured last Friday night due to a collision on State Route 162 near southeast Puyallup, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened at the intersection with 128th Street East, in the McMillin area. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 9:40 p.m.
Little information has been made available, but two passenger cars were involved, and two people were transported to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.
Washington State Department of Transportation – Tacoma crew members joined WSP troopers at the scene, prompting a closure of SR-162 in both directions.

By 1:07 a.m., more than three hours after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reported reopened.
