News: 2 sent to hospital after collision in Seattle’s First Hill area

SEATTLE, WA — Two people were injured Thursday morning after a two-vehicle crash sent one car into a building in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, reports KOMO News.

The accident took place at the corner of Boren Avenue and Marion Street, near First Hill Medical Swedish Hospital. It was first reported by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) at 5:04 a.m.

Officials did not disclose details on the circumstances behind the wreck, but the Seattle Fire Department said no rescue extrication was required at the scene.

Two patients were transported to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The intersection was blocked during the emergency response, forcing commuters to detour around the scene.
