KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Two people were injured Monday night in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 303 near north Bremerton, according to Kitsap Sun.
Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene at the intersection with Northeast McWilliams Road. The accident was first reported shortly before 7:00 p.m.
A preliminary investigation found a 35-year-old Port Orchard man was behind the wheel of a 2002 Nissan Xterra going southbound when he hit a 2010 Toyota RAV4 that was stopped at the intersection.
Officials said the impact of the crash set off a series of chain-reaction crashes that impacted a 2018 Ford Escape and a 2014 Toyota Tundra.
First responders transported the alleged causing driver to St. Michael Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. Officials said he faces charges of negligent driving.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4, an 83-year-old Bremerton man, was also transported to St. Michael.
The drivers of the Ford Escape and the Toyota Tundra, a 21-year-old Tennessee man and a 62-year-old Bremerton man, respectively, were not injured.
Troopers said all involved vehicles except for the causing Xterra were totaled in the accident.
