KING COUNTY, WA — A man and a woman died last Saturday, August 27, after a crash that left another person injured in the unincorporated Cascade-Fairwood area, according to Renton Reporter.
Renton Regional Fire Authority crews responded to the scene at Southeast 186th Street and 140th Avenue Southeast at about 5:47 p.m., shortly after receiving a call.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but first responders arrived to find two vehicles, a Subaru and a BMW, were involved. One of the vehicles and a telephone pole had caught fire, and two occupants were reported trapped.
Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames, and all victims were pulled out of the wreckage.
Medics transported two patients to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center, while another patient was taken to Virginia Mason Medical Center.
Two people, a man and a woman who were traveling in the Subaru, both later died as a result of the crash, confirmed the King County Sheriff’s Department.
An investigation by the Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit was underway.
