News: 2 cyclists critically hurt in collision in Seattle’s Queen Anne 

SEATTLE, WA – Two cyclists were left in critical condition as a result of a collision in the Queen Anne neighborhood on Monday, Fox13Seattle reports. 

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Aurora Avenue North and Roy Street. The two cyclists, a 28-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were crossing the intersection when they were struck by a vehicle. 

The man and woman were riding a Lime bike and were said to be unfamiliar with the area. 

Police did not say if the man and woman were wearing reflective clothing or cycling with a bike light at the time of the collision, two factors that can increase visibility for drivers in dawn, dusk, or nighttime conditions, especially in an area with a lack of city lamps.  

Seattle Police closed the area for over an hour before reopening all lanes before 7 a.m.
