News: 2 cars overturn in 15-vehicle wreck on I-5 near Federal Way

KING COUNTY, WA — Washington State Patrol troopers responded to a 15-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Interstate 5 near Federal Way, reports King 5.

The accident impacted the southbound interstate just south of South 272nd Street. It was first recorded by the Washington State Department of Transportation shortly after 6:30 a.m.

According to Trooper Rick Johnson, only two vehicles were initially involved in a crash, but then a total of 15 vehicles were ultimately impacted.

Even though two of the involved vehicles flipped, no serious injuries were reported.

Four southbound lanes were closed during the response and initial investigation but were reopened by 8:30 a.m.
