PIERCE COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a rollover collision on State Route 16 near northwest Gig Harbor, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident occurred on the westbound highway at Burnham Drive, near McCormick Forest Park. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 9:38 a.m.
Authorities did not say what led up to the crash, but one vehicle overturned in a crash.
One person suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The left lane was closed as the WSP and first responders tended to the scene.
