KING COUNTY, WA — One person died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 90 near North Bend, according to FOX 13 Seattle.
The fatal incident occurred on the eastbound lanes at mile post 34, west of 468th Avenue Southeast. At 9:36 p.m., the Washington State Department announced a closure of all eastbound lanes in the area.
Authorities have not disclosed the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but the pedestrian was pronounced deceased.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., nearly six hours after the initial closure, the roadway was reopened to traffic.
An investigation remains in progress.
