News: 1 killed, another hurt in multi-vehicle crash involving hit-and-run driver

SEATTLE, WA – One person was killed, and another was hurt in a multi-vehicle crash involving a hit-and-run driver on Sunday, KOMO News reports. 

The collision happened at 3:15 a.m. on Interstate 5 South along 200th Street. The incident began when the driver of vehicle 1, traveling in the second to left lane, crashed into vehicle 2, traveling in the first left lane, and fled the scene. 

The second car became disabled and veered into the far right lane, and was struck by vehicle 3. 

The driver of vehicle 2 died from her injuries, while the third driver was sent to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. 

Washington State Patrol shut down the area for several hours before reopening it.
