News: 1 killed, 2 injured in suspected wrong-way collision in Maple Valley 

MAPLE VALLEY, WA – One person was killed, and two were injured in a suspected wrong-way collision on State Route 18 along State Route 169 on Thursday, KomoNews said.

Washington State Patrol believes one driver was traveling the wrong way when they crashed into three or more vehicles.

First responders said three people in total were hospitalized. One was transported via a medical helicopter to Harborview Medical Center, another was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and another was sent to another hospital. At the time of the reporting, all three were listed in serious condition. Officials later confirmed that the suspected wrong-way driver died from their injuries.

Washington State Patrol started an investigation and has not released other information.
