TUKWILA, WA – A 24-year-old man was killed, and a 24-year-old woman, along with a driver, were hospitalized after a rollover crash involving a hit-and-run suspect on Friday.
According to Kiro7, the crash happened before 11:45 p.m. on State Route 599 North.
Preliminary details show that a person driving a 2002 Honda Civic had lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the left shoulder. The force of the crash caused the car to flip over multiple times and ejected a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, who were not wearing seatbelts, from the car.
The 24-year-old man landed in the middle of the road and was struck by a vehicle driven by the hit-and-run suspect. The 24-year-old woman landed on the left shoulder.
Washington State Patrol pronounced the 24-year-old man, a front-seat passenger, dead at the scene.
EMS crews transported the Honda driver and the 24-year-old woman, a back-seat passenger, to Harborview Medical Center.
Officials did not disclose the physical conditions of the surviving occupants.
Troopers are investigating the details of the crash and are actively working to find the hit-and-run suspect.
