News: 1 injured in rollover semi crash at Y intersection near Puyallup

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — At least one person was injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck near northwest Puyallup, according to The News Tribune.

Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at Canyon Road East and Pioneer Way East shortly before 9:21 a.m.

Officials did not say what other vehicle was involved in the wreck, but a semi-truck overturned on its side in the roadway.

Non-life-threatening injuries were reported, but it was unclear how many people were hurt.

Pioneer Way East was expected to remain closed for some time as crews worked to clear the wreckage.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
