News: 1 hurt in DUI collision on Washington 7 in Spanaway

SPANAWAY, WA – According to FOX 13, one person was hurt in a DUI collision in Spanaway Tuesday morning.

A driver was heading south when they hit a traffic control trailer and a dump truck with a trailer on Washington 7 near 188th Street South. The collision caused the traffic control trailer to push forward and strike a construction worker.

First responders transported the worker to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The driver’s vehicle caught fire after the crash. Bystanders extricated the driver from the vehicle. The driver was hospitalized and then arrested for DUI.
