SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was sent to a hospital Monday night after two separate crashes on Interstate 5 near northeast Lynnwood, according to KOMO News.
The events first unfolded on the northbound lanes near 164th Street Southwest (Exit 183), at about 10:25 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the initial collision, but the Washington State Patrol said three vehicles were involved. A second wreck involving two vehicles occurred in the traffic backup.
One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.
Motorists were asked to avoid the scene and find alternate routes, as multiple northbound lanes were closed following the accident.
At this time, authorities have not shared further details on the parties involved.
