News: 1 hospitalized after 5-vehicle pileup in Mountlake Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE – Washington State Troopers responded to a five-car pileup in Mountlake Terrace Monday morning.

According to KIRO, the accident took place sometime before 10:30 a.m. along I-5.

Troopers say a distracted driver was following too closely when they collided with the rear of another that had slowed for traffic. Three other vehicles eventually collided with the other two.

One driver involved was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
