SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized Sunday morning after a car overturned on Interstate 5 in southwest Everett, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.
The accident took place on the southbound lanes at Exit 189 to Southeast Everett Mall Way, in the city’s Pinehurst-Beverly Park area. Members of the Everett Fire Department responded to the scene just before 9:00 a.m.
Officials did not say what caused the rollover, but crews arrived to find the vehicle smoking, and a person trapped inside.
After the victim was safely removed and the fire extinguished, the patient was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The EFD has not disclosed any further details at this time.
