SEATTLE, WA — Firefighters had to extricate one person Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
The accident took place in the area of Rainer Avenue South and South Estelle Street. Seattle Fire crew members responded to the scene at about 1:56 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed the events leading up to the crash, but crews had to conduct a rescue extrication for one person who was trapped in the wreckage of their vehicle.
Crews are responding to a collision involving two vehicles with reports of one person trapped near Rainier Ave S & S Estelle St. Please avoid the area.

By 2:10 p.m., the patient had been safely removed and was being transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Rainier Ave S & S Estelle St: Patient safely extricated and is in stable condition. Paramedics are transporting them to a hospital. Remaining crews are working to return to service.
