News: 1 extricated after car crashes into West Seattle ravine

SEATTLE, WA — One person was rescued late Wednesday morning after their car crashed into a ravine in West Seattle’s North Admiral neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

Seattle Fire Department crews were called to the scene in the 2100 block of Arch Avenue Southwest, shortly before 11:00 a.m.

The circumstances behind the event were not immediately clear, but by 11:20 a.m., firefighters had completed a rescue extrication for one patient who was trapped in the wreckage.

Officials have not shared details on the extent of the victim’s injuries, but the patient was said to be in “stable condition.”

Traffic in the Fairmount Ravine area was impacted as multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene, but by 11:42 a.m,, the scene was beginning to clear.
