SEATTLE, WA — One person had to be extricated Monday morning after a box truck crashed into a residence in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood, according to KOMO News.
The accident happened off North 85th Street and Wallingford Avenue Nroth, near Bishop Blanchet High School. Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the scene at around 10:30 a.m.
Authorities have not said what caused the crash, but a truck carrying wood flooring material plowed into the front of the home.
Firefighters had to perform a rescue extrication to remove the male driver from the wreckage. A male passenger in the truck was able to exit the vehicle without help. It was unclear whether the men had to be transported to a hospital, but officials said no serious injuries were sustained. Both patients were said to be in stable condition.
No one was in the residence at the time of the wreck, and no other injuries have been reported, but fire crews had to stabilize the damaged home in the aftermath. No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
An investigation by the Seattle Police Department was underway.
