NORTH BEND, WA – A man died following a two-semi-truck collision on westbound Interstate 90 on Wednesday, according to KING 5.
A 57-year-old man was driving a semi-truck when he had a front-steering axle tire blowout and crashed into a logging truck operated by Dwane Sukert, 38. The collision caused the logging truck to go off the road and roll down an embankment.
First responders transported both drivers to an area hospital, where Sukert died. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
