News: 1 dead after motorcycle vs. car crash in Oak Harbor

ISLAND COUNTY, WA — At least one person died Tuesday night after a wreck involving a motorcycle on State Route 20 in Oak Harbor, according to KOMO News.

The Washington State Patrol said the fatal collision occurred near Southwest 6th Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but officials said the crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger car.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the person killed was the motorcyclist.

A section of the highway was shut down in both directions during the response and investigation. Shortly after 1:00 a.m. the following morning, all lanes were reopened to traffic.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
