KITTITAS COUNTY, WA – According to KIRO 7, a child died and several other children were hurt in a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg Saturday afternoon.
A 30-year-old man was driving a 2011 Chevy Tahoe west on Interstate 90 when he had a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle. The SUV went off the road and rolled over.
First responders transported the driver, his adult female passenger, and seven juveniles to area hospitals. One of the children died in the collision.
The woman and the seven children were not wearing safety devices.
The incident is under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
