Multi-vehicle crash at Tacoma intersection seriously injures motorcyclist

TACOMA, WA – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in south Tacoma on Thursday afternoon.

According to Tacoma Weekly, the crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. at South 21st Street and Tacoma Avenue.

Investigators say a driver failed to yield at the intersection, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. The impact caused one of the vehicles to roll over and strike a motorcyclist, who sustained severe injuries.

Emergency services transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Two passengers from the vehicles involved were also taken to the hospital for examination.

The intersection was shut down for several hours following the crash and has since reopened.
