Multi-vehicle collision reported in Renton

RENTON, WA – The Renton Police Department was forced to shut down a busy intersection following a three-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon.

According to the official Twitter page of the Renton PD, the accident occurred at the intersection of Benson Drive and Southeast 172nd Street around 3:30 p.m.

3 Vehicle collision at Benson Dr S/SE 172nd St. Please use alternate routes as the intersection will be blocked until the vehicles can be towed. LS

No injuries have been reported immediately following the crash. However, the intersection was closed for several hours causing significant delays for rush-hour commuters in Renton Thursday evening.
