BELLINGHAM, WA – Officials in East Bellingham were forced to close off at least one lane on I-5 as the result of a rush-hour collision Tuesday morning.
According to King 5 Traffic, the accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 near Exit 254 to Iowa Street and the Sunnyland neighborhood. Officials at the scene reported the right lane blocked for about 15 minutes following the accident.
No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the collision. However, rush-hour commuters faced significant delays in northern Bellingham throughout Tuesday morning.
