News: Man riding motorized scooter dies following collision in Spanaway

SPANAWAY, WA – According to KIRO 7, a man operating a motorized scooter died in a collision at Washington 7 and 194th Street East on Tuesday.

The man was riding a motorized scooter north when he hit an abandoned shopping cart on the right shoulder.

First responders performed life-saving measures on the man before pronouncing him dead at the scene.

It is unclear if the man died from his injuries or a medical issue.

Officials have not released the man’s name.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
