SEATTLE, WA – According to KIRO 7, a girl was hurt in a pedestrian crash near Chinatown late Sunday morning.
An adult woman was driving when she struck a 6-year-old girl near Rainier Avenue South and South Charles Street just before noon. The girl and her mother were in a crosswalk when the girl was hit.
First responders transported the child to an area hospital in critical condition.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Authorities do not believe the driver was impaired. No arrests were made.
The Seattle Police Department is investigating the incident.
