TACOMA, WA – According to KIRO 7, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal collision that occurred outside the Monterra Apartments at 416 111th Street Court East on Saturday.
A 54-year-old woman was driving a blue sedan when she crashed around noon.
First responders rushed a 65-year-old passenger to an area hospital, but they died on the way. The driver was hospitalized in critical condition.
Authorities will charge the driver with vehicular homicide and investigation of DUI when she is released from the hospital.
