TUKWILA, WA – According to KIRO 7, a speeding driver caused an eight-vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist on Interstate 5 near mile marker 154 Saturday night.
A 20-year-old man was speeding when he slammed into the back of another driver around 9:50 p.m.
The speeding driver then struck a motorcyclist. The collision ejected the motorcyclist from the bike. He landed on the left shoulder of the interstate.
Another car was hit by the speeding driver, causing it to enter another lane and smash into two other vehicles. The original driver then hit yet another car.
First responders spent around five hours processing the scene.
Authorities cited the speeding driver for disregarding the safety of others.
It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash.
