KENT, WA – According to FOX 13, one person died in a pedestrian collision in west Kent Thursday morning.
A 32-year-old man driving a silver SUV hit a 39-year-old man outside a crosswalk at Pacific Highway South and South 240th Street around 2:30 a.m.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the driver allegedly fled the scene.
Officers located the suspect vehicle near 20th Avenue South in Des Moines. The SUV had damage to the front. It was occupied by a driver and three passengers.
The passengers cooperated with authorities.
Authorities arrested the driver for vehicular homicide.
